The Roulette game is set out on a stretched table with one end featuring the roulette wheel; this is where the game attendant stands. The table is elongated in style and has a felt layout cover; this cover reveals a series of boxes, which are marked with the numbers one up to thirty-six.

The numbers featured in these boxes are arranged in twelve rows and three columns. The single zero and double zero boxes are located above the numbers one through to three and sit next to the game attendant.
The background for the single and double zero is green and all the numbers from one to thirty-six have a background colour, which is either black or red or rectangle or oval.

Both ‘Inside Bets’ and ‘Outside Bets’ can be placed, with “Inside bets” acting as the wagers. These can be found in the rectangular grid that consists of the box for the numbers one to thirty-six, whilst the “Outside Bets” feature outside the boxed numbers that consists of eighteen numbers. These can usually be found situated opposite the dealer. The twelve number column boxes for each bet however are situated away from the dealer. The roulette wheel always consists of a total of thirty-eight slots with each slot featuring an identical coloured background. The ball is ivory in consistency and is traditionally small in size; however more recently roulette balls have been re-produced in plastic.

Once the wheel has been activated the ball will also take motion, once the speed of the wheel decreases the ball then falls off the course and will then land in any one of the numbered slots that feature on the wheel.
